North Oaks Kitchen Remodeling
This contemporary home in North Oaks was renovated to modernize the look of its kitchen, increase its functionality and better connect it with other spaces on the main floor of the home. The existing kitchen lacked storage and counter space. Since the family enjoys preparing meals together, they wanted a kitchen that can accommodate more than one cook.

The remodeled kitchen includes two islands, each with its own large sink, which provides individual workstations for multiple cooks while maintaining open areas for traffic flow. Custom maple base cabinets and stainless steel upper cabinets with sandblasted tempered glass create the desired contemporary look. The kitchen appliances, the exhaust hood and the doors of the appliance garage are all stainless steel, again complimenting the contemporary design. A desk, wine storage and display spaces are new functional elements of this remodeled space. Cable and monorail lighting illuminate the task areas and provide ambient lighting while preserving the existing wood ceilings.
