Country French Kitchen Remodeling
The new design orientates the kitchen towards the dining room and Minnehaha Creek. French doors leading to the dining room were replaced with a larger cased opening. Relocation of the appliances improves the functionality of the work triangle. An antiqued, glazed and distressed finish was applied to the painted, custom cabinets to create a Country French look. Installation of cornice mouldings and corbels on the island and hood vent add architectural interest in this newly remodeled kitchen. The glazed tile backsplash complements the cabinetry and the Absolute Black India granite countertops provide contrast. The seeded-glass and Puk lighting in the upper cabinets showcase the owners’ collection of dishes and stemware while numerous recessed lights and Xenon undercounter lights provide ample illumination.
