Edina Home Interior Renovation
As part of a main floor renovation, the owners of this traditional two-story home constructed in the 1940’s wanted to add light and character to the interior of their home. Prior to remodeling, the living room had coved ceilings, dark casings and no overhead lighting and was rather dark and non-descript.

When construction began, the interior was gutted to the studs and traditional plasterboard with a hand-trowled plaster finish was installed on all walls and ceilings. The fireplace became the focal point of the living room with the addition of a more substantial plaster surround and decorative flue. Dolomite stones accent the face of the fireplace. Large crown mouldings, custom casings and oak flooring provide design continuity throughout the first floor. Larger, energy-efficient windows and numerous recessed lights provide ample light.
